Patrick V. Grady began his Real Estate career in 1969 and was a partner with over 30 sales people and two offices until he opened his own office in 1979 on MacArthur Blvd. His wife Elizabeth (Betty) joined him in business in 1980, and between the two of them they have consistently produced over 16 million dollars in residential sales annually. Each of their children, Cynthia, David, and Melissa have shared the family business for over the past 17 years. Patrick has stayed very active in the community coaching in the Junior Football program and basketball at Christ the King grade school. Pat is a past member of the American Business Club, and was also on the Board of Directors for the Heart Association. Due to Patrick’s outstanding contribution to the community he was asked to be the Grand Marshall of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and was also selected as the Irishman of the year by the Son’s & Daughter’s of Erin. In 2004 Patrick was given the Springfield Jaycees William B. McKenzie Memorial Award for distinguished service to the city of Springfield. |
Betty Grady has been very active in the Springfield community. She served as the 1989-1990 president of the Junior League of Springfield and was the 1995-1996 sustainer president of the Junior League of Springfield. Betty was the Chairman of Fund Development for the Ronald McDonald House and past board member for six years on the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Committee. She has also volunteered on various committees of the Capital Area Association of Realtors and was honored to receive the 2000 Community Service Award from the Realtor Association. In 2004, the Junior League of Springfield selected Betty to receive the Sustainer of the Year Award for her outstanding volunteer service in the Springfield community. Then in 2007 Betty was honored to receive the "Distinguished Alumni Award" from Christ the King grade school.

In 1991 Pat and Betty’s daughter, Cindy Hamilton, joined Grady Realtors Inc. and has consistently been a multi-million dollar producer. Cindy is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in advertising and marketing. Cindy has also been very active in the Springfield community serving on boards and volunteering with The Junior League of Springfield, The Parent Place, Christ the King School and Heartland Credit Union. Through her volunteerism efforts she has helped raise thousands of dollars that have been put back in the community. She has also received the “ABCD” (Above & Beyond the Call of Duty) award as well as the “Making a Difference” award from the Junior League of Springfield. Cindy is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Heartland Credit Union and the Capital Area Association of Realtors. In 2007 Cindy was awarded the "Community Service Award" by CAAR and was a "Forty Under 40" recipient by the Springfield Business Journal. She was also quite honored to be voted the State Journal Register's Readers Choice second place winner of "Best Realtor" in 2007. Then in early 1994 the Grady’s were proud to announce that there son David entered the family real estate business after graduating from Southern Illinois University. Dave is an active member in the American Business Club, which raises money for many local charities. He also enjoys coaching local soccer teams with the Lincoln Herritage League. Dave specializes in residential home sales and selling income apartment buildings as well. Dave produces 4 to 5 million dollars in sales every year and he always pays close attention to detail and all the needs of his clients.

In 2001, Melissa joined our family business and has successfully been a multi-million dollar producer ever since. She is a 1998 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Art Education. Melissa taught high school art for four years and believes that her teaching background enables her to listen and solve problems for both buyers and sellers. Melissa is very active in the Springfield community and feels volunteering is very important. She is an active member of the Junior League of Springfield since 2001 volunteering on various events and fundraisers that give back to the community. She is an active board member on the Springfield Art Association Board of Directors, Springfield Old Capitol Art Fair Board, and the St. Patrick’s Day Marching Band Parade Board since 2001. Melissa has a keen ability to find property for buyers in a pressure free relationship and helps sellers market and sell their homes in a professional manner. |

After several years as a family friend, Brandy recently joined our team in 2006. In 1998, Brandy graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Education specializing in Children & Family services. Brandy has been working for the Illinois General Assembly for the past eight years as a Project Coordinator. She feels it is very important to be active in our community.
